In light of the MHRA recommendation, regarding concerns around cardiovascular safety beyond the already recognised risk of venous thromboembolism, the Kent and Medway osteoporosis group have issued the following guidance For patients under osteoporosis specialists at present, and due to be seen within the next 3 months, stop treatment if there is concern and alternatives can be considered at the next visit. For others, consider using a bisphosphonate.
