Please prescribe as plain prednisolone as these dissolve and are more cost effective. Depending on the age of the child or adult, the following options are available for administration:
- Dissolve the tablet(s) in a small amount of water or squash. Crush the tablet(s) and mix with a small amount of soft food, such as yoghurt or jam.
- If able to swallow tablets, swallow whole with a drink.
- For children prednisolone dompe oral solution 1 mg per ml is recommended.
