Specialist in menopause for the purposes of this guidance is defined as: a BMS accredited specialist or equivalent prescriber who can demonstrate that they have received training in and have clinical experience of treating menopausal patients with testosterone. This could therefore be a GP working in primary care

Can be considered by specialists in menopause for off-label use in menopausal patients with low sexual desire/altered sexual function if HRT alone is not effective.
